SALES & MARKETING

Store Manager
I guess for me, after landing as an immigrant, it was shocking to discover the real Canadian job market situation. If we do a simple math, any given day about 600 prospective immigrants land in Canada and most, if not all of them, are looking for a job. I was simply confused. Lucky for me, by Internet search I came across ACCES.
At ACCES, my counsellor taught me and 19 other participants how to communicate with others in doing networking, how to write a professional resume and cover letters, how to prepare interviews and how to find labour market information. I was highly impressed by the high level of the program. It surely made me very confident, enthusiastic and motivated in my job hunting.

They provided us with all necessary tools to be efficient in our endeavours and act professionally on the Canadian labour market. Their expertise and teamwork is for us an outstanding example in a working environment that fosters excellence.

Moreover, I have a strong feeling of "belonging" to a place where I know that I can find anytime a professional advice and attitude.

At ACCES, I was told about the “hidden job market” and how to penetrate it. Following the lead from ACCES, I was successfully able to land a job in my field in 21 days after landing (The client is working as a Store Manager in Barrie). The other participants in my batch are doing great too, four have successfully managed to get jobs in their own field.

ACCES offers a unique program that assists foreign-trained professionals in finding work related to their skills or professional background. Well, even if they will NOT actually find us a job individually, the participants are given the opportunity to establish work search strategies.
This meaningful hands-on, three-day program uses structured activities and a group support system for a customized work search. Another great thing is that you will come across like-minded immigrants and start to build networking right away.

I will personally recommend all the immigrants to attend this course to know more about the Canadian labour market demands, Canadian resume writing, Canadian way of job interviewing, and update themselves with all the required skills.

This client attended the JSW at ACCES (Accessible Community Counselling & Employment Services).
